Now that you've decided to dive into the world of the water gardening lifestyle--whether you just had us or others build your pond, or you just bought a home with a pond and don't know how to care for it, you're probably wondering exactly what you need to do to maintain your new aquatic beauty and keep it looking great.
Some of you know what this entails, but for those that are new to water gardening here is the rundown:
Duncan's Pond Clean Out 1 - Drain pond down to six inches in depth. 2 - Remove fish and place in large containers with original pond water. 3 - Drain remainder of pond and power wash pond and stream/waterfall. 4 - Remove debris from the pond bottom.*.Clean all filter pads, bio balls, biofall unit, skimmer and pump as needed. 5 - Make necessary minor adjustments to rocks if needed. 6 - Add dechlorinator if needed. 7 - If your water garden includes a pond with fish, upon finishing your clean out we will refill the pond with enough water to re-introduce your fish. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FINISHING THE FILLING PROCESS AND PLUGGING IN THE WATERFALL PUMP 8 - We are unable to guarantee fish life during clean out process. All precaution will be taken to maintain fish well-being. 9 - If you would like any water treatment products just let us know in advance of pond clean out, we can bring them with us and drop them off for you.
